"Before there is the Race for the Cure, there is the Runway for a Cause. A packed house, 90 percent women, turned out for the show, that featured fashions from four different Little Rock retailers. The models were made up of cancer survivors. The crowd was enthusiastic, the mood was upbeat and the money was fantastic.

In 2009, $135,000 went to four different charities associated with cancer:Baptist Health, Susan G Komen, The Hope Lodge, and CARTI.Since its inception, this event has raised over $675,000 for cancer charities."

Guiding Principles for Giving

 

Heart in the handsThe Tenenbaum Foundation gives special consideration to qualified organizations to which we personally devote our time.

The family wishes to promote and encourage others to experience philanthropic activities. Giving is the greatest gift one can receive, and the family encourages you to become involved in the local community wherever you live.

The Foundation only consideres requests from qualified organizations that use funds and their capital resources efficiently. The Foundation will only consider organizations devoting at least sixty five percent of budgetary expenditures to program activities.

Requests for small gifts or grants not aligned with the mission of the Foundation or the gifting guidelines will not receive priority, may be declined.

If you feel your organization meets this criteria, please feel free to submit a grant request. Grants are review by the Board during regularly scheduled meetings.
