Guiding Principles for Giving
The Tenenbaum Foundation gives special consideration to qualified organizations to which we personally devote our time.
The family wishes to promote and encourage others to experience philanthropic activities. Giving is the greatest gift one can receive, and the family encourages you to become involved in the local community wherever you live.
The Foundation only consideres requests from qualified organizations that use funds and their capital resources efficiently. The Foundation will only consider organizations devoting at least sixty five percent of budgetary expenditures to program activities.
Requests for small gifts or grants not aligned with the mission of the Foundation or the gifting guidelines will not receive priority, may be declined.
If you feel your organization meets this criteria, please feel free to submit a grant request. Grants are review by the Board during regularly scheduled meetings.
"The desire for power in excess caused angels to fall; the desire for knowledge in excess caused man to fall; but in charity is no excess, neither can man or angels come into danger by it."
- Sir Francis Bacon
